Since bursting on to the UK Blues scene with their debut record The Uprising EP in April 2019 followed by their second EP Innocence of Youth in May 2020, Grace and Aaron have been going from strength to strength.

Their unique harmonic vocal-led approach to songwriting, dirty electric guitar, slide mandolin and fiddle create a unique distinctive and contemporary blues rock sound that echoes classic rock with hints of the classic blues that inspire them. Since the lockdown, the duo have live streamed on Facebook every Saturday at 8pm for their Rock The Lockdown and Cabin Fever series, attracting hundreds of thousands of views on a weekly basis.

In November 2020, WRM released their long-awaited debut album We Fly Free, to critical acclaim from the UK radio and rock music magazine media.

Chris Kimsey, the Rolling Stones record producer praised the album saying that “The performances are exemplary, the sound is magnificent, the songs are gorgeous. I love the drama. I love everything.”

The UK rock music press were unanimous by praising We Fly Free as one of the most striking, refreshing, and impressive debut blues rock albums of 2020.

Classic Rock said of the band’s debut, “Wheel-spinning out of Dodge like Bonnie and Clyde on opener Did I Break The Law, Grace and Aaron prove capable getaway drivers on a debut album that unfolds like a road movie.”

Vive Le Rock said that We Fly Free was “urban blues with the brakes off,” a 9/10 rating, while Guitarist Magazine described it as “electrifying, a great debut.” Fireworks Magazine praised it as “One of the best blues rock albums of the year.”

Blues Rock Review voted We Fly Free #9 in their Top 20 Albums of 2020 poll.

The album also made Rock and Blues Muse’s “Top 20 Blues, Rock and Roots Albums of 2020.”

Guitarist Magazine, “It’s a tough job to make a new blues-based record that really arrests the listener’s attention, however, WRM’s sound is built of simple but powerful elements, handled with taste but delivered from the gut.”

HRH Magazine proclaimed, “For blues lovers, We Fly Free is a purist’s paradise,” while Powerplay Magazine said, “They may be a duo, but they make a big noise.”

In May 2021, WRM were the first-ever band to win four awards at the 2021 UK Blues Awards including “Blues Band of the Year” and “Blues Album of the Year”. This set the record for any artist or band winning four awards on the same night.

2021 saw WRM win Planet Rock’s “The Rocks” Award for Best New Band.

November 2021 WRM released their sophomore album “Saving Grace”

Classic Rock Magazine – “Grace and Aaron Bond return with an absolutely smoking follow-up, a spot-on cornucopia of dirty riffs and impassioned blues-rock power, with a keen ear for authentic instrumentation and atmosphere.”

The album received rave reviews in Powerplay, Fireworks, Classic Rock, Viva Le Rock, R’N’R, HRH and MNPR Magazine.

After the first week of the release, Saving Grace charted #2 UK Official Jazz & Blues Albums Chart, #5 UK Official Album Downloads Chart, and #6 UK Official Independent Albums Chart Top

When they reviewed WRM’s debut album, Guitarist Magazine went on to say, “It’s a tough job to make a new blues-based record that really arrests the listener’s attention, however, WRM’s sound is built of simple but powerful elements, handled with taste but delivered from the gut.”
To date, they have had several songs playlisted on Planet Rock including three of their most current singles, Testify, Never Coming Home, and He’ll Drive You Crazy. Last year WRM were voted Best New Band at Planet Rock’s The Rocks Awards. This year, WRM are nominated for several categories at The Rocks, including best band and best album.

Known for their highly engaging weekly live stream concerts and strong engagement with their fans The Rapids, Grace and Aaron have consolidated a growing fanbase that continues to escalate daily.
They’ve won Classic Rock’s Tracks of The Week three times and have performed on Joe Bonamassa’s Keeping the Blues Alive Stream-A-Thon and have featured on several of his Spotify playlists
