Leprous has evolved from a Norwegian underground phenomenon into one of Europe’s most respected progressive metal bands. Hailing from Notodden, Norway, the band has established a strong international presence with its distinctive blend of progressive metal, electronic elements, and melodic intensity.
With albums such as Malina, Pitfalls, and Aphelion, they have cultivated a sound that both fans and critics hail as truly unique. It is on stage, however, that Leprous truly stands out, thanks to their precise yet emotionally charged presence. Drummer Baard Kolstad has become a key figure in modern drumming and a vital component of the band’s dynamic—you might have even seen him on Drumeo earlier this year. Combined with Einar Solberg’s distinctive vocals and the band’s uncompromising commitment to quality, Leprous has built a formidable international reputation.
