Kenji Suzuki

This Japanese child prodigy and virtuoso guitarist first came to prominence after winning a national competition for guitarists at the age of 14.  After a low-key mini-album of mainly Japanese-style instrumentals, he teamed up with ex-Cream bass player Jack Bruce and Frehley’s Comet’s drummer Anton Fig. This association recorded as a power-trio, playing Cream classics and avant garde, blues-based rock, fused with Japanese classical pieces.

Kenji started working with Simply Red when they were recording the Blue album. Originally from Japan, he has been living in the UK since 1988 and has recorded with such major artists as Annie Lennox, Seal, The Lighthouse Family and Bomb the Bass.

He has released several solo albums, some as Kenji Suzuki, some as Kenji Jammer.
