John Taylor has made his name as the bassist and founding member of Duran Duran. With the band, John has created some of the greatest songs of our time, from the disco dazzle of debut single “Planet Earth” right up to their latest, chart topping 15th studio album, FUTURE PAST.
To date, Duran Duran has sold more than 100 million records worldwide and has been awarded seven prestigious Lifetime Achievement Awards, including ones from the BRITs, MTV, the Q Awards and the Ivor Novello’s.
John is supporting UNICEF, a United Nations agency responsible for providing humanitarian and developmental aid to children worldwide. The agency works in over 190 countries and territories to save children’s lives, to defend their rights, and to help them fulfill their potential, from early childhood through adolescence. UNICEF’s activities include providing immunizations and disease prevention, administering treatment for children and mothers with HIV, enhancing childhood and material nutrition, improving sanitation, promoting education, and providing emergency relief in response to disasters.
